Winners of Grand slam tournaments are equivalent to celebrities earning fame and respect from their hard work. Major players like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic have reached the top because of their grit and years of practice. One of the prominent names is Serena Williams, an African-American women and mother, who defied all the hardships and discrimination and made a name for herself in the male dominated society. Day 1 2019 US opening night ceremony, August 26:
22-year old SumitNagal from India came face to face with 20 times Grand Slam winner Roger Federer. He won the first set 4-6 but was defeated later by 6-1, 6-2, 6-4. Playing against Federer proved quite beneficial for Nagal.Serena Williams also ousted Maria Sharapova by winning both sets 6-1, 6-1.

Day 2 Match on Arthur Ashe Stadium August 27:
A nail-biting match between Naomi Osaka and Anna Blinkova ended with Naomi taking the crown by winning the three sets 6-4, 6-7, 6-2.Rafael Nadal also won against john Millman.

Day 3 Arthur Ashe stadium August 28:
Roger Federer proved his grit by winning against DamirDžumhur from Bosnia by 3-6, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4.
DamirDžumhur proved to be worthy competitor.

Day 4 Louis Armstrong stadium August 29:
Naomi Osaka won her second round of women’s singles against Magda Linette by 6-2, 6-4. Both displayed highest level of competence but Naomi won the match.

Day 5 Arthur Ashe stadium August 30:
Roger Federer, Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic stole the show by winning their respective matches.

Day 6 Arthur Ashe Stadium August 31:
AndreyRublev, Russian tennis player, ousted and kicked Nick Kyrgios out from the US open by winning all three sets 7-6, 7-6, 6-3.

Day 8 September 2:
Belinda Bencic outsmarted Naomi Osaka and seeded later out of the US open by achieving a score of 7-5 and 6-4.

Day 9 September 3:
GrigorDimitrov of Bulgaria won the men’s single quarter-finals by defeating Roger Federer. It turns out to be a life altering victory for him and Federer’s defeat left everyone shell shocked.

Day 10 September 4:
Rafael Nadal proved to be better than his opponent Diego Schwartzman by winning the three sets by huge margin.

Day 12 Semi-final September 6:
MatteoBerrettini was defeated by none other than Rafael Nadal making way for the later to Final for 2019 US open.

Day 13 women’s single final September 7:
September 7 proved to be a heart breaker for Serena Williams as she lost women’s single final against Bianca Andreescu.Both the players gave their best but it was Bianca who proved to better than her opponent by winning with score of 6-3, 7-5.

Day 14 Men’s single and women’s double final September 8:
Elise Mertens and ArynaSabalenka combined their powers to win against Victoria Azarenka and Ashleigh Barty.Rafael Nadal defeated his opponent Daniil Medvedev in men’s single final and won his 19th grand slam title. He is just one title away from matching Roger Federer in winning grand slam titles.

The thrill and the heartbeat racing upon seeing the players giving their all during the matches show the love spectators’ shower for their game and players. People learn the art of team work and try to imbibe the same values to the younger generation. Therefore, no matter which sport one wants to play, it’s important that he/she gives his/her best in it and enjoy it to the fullest.
