Know who is going to win the champions league

With the Champions League semi-finals about to kick off this week, we are starting to get down to the business end of the competition where every team in the whole of Europe wants to be. The Champions League always promises some of the best fixtures around the world and with the line-up that we have this week, it’s a mouth-watering prospect for all European football fans and below we look at both matches and who look most likely to go on and win the competition.

First, we look at Tuesday’s fixture which sees Chelsea travel to the Santiago Bernabeu to take on Real Madrid. Since Thomas Tuchel took over at the Blues, they have looked like a different side, playing free flowing football but also looking more secure at the back which is something they have been struggling with. Chelsea will know that they are the 4th favourite for the competition priced at 4/1 but will be happy with their draw against Real Madrid, avoiding the big two. Real Madrid do look like a shell of their former side, having lost a lot of star quality in the past couple of transfer windows, but remain a force to be reckoned with having knocked out Liverpool in the previous round. We do believe this will be a tight affair but believe that Real Madrid will be the club in the final come May.

Now looking at Wednesday’s fixture, which is the tie of the round which sees Manchester City take on last year’s finalists Paris St Germain. Pep Guardiola will know that if he doesn’t win the Champions League at the Manchester Club then he will have ultimately failed, and that this year is possibly his best opportunity to do so with City playing some of the most scintillating football that we’ve seen in recent years. However, PSG will be wanting to go one better than last year’s competition and with the fire power of Neymar and wonderkid Kylian Mbappe then anything is possible in this tie and one that we are finding difficult to call.
